Medical Mission Outreach to Fort Portal, UGANDA
July 14 – 26, 2009
Directed by Dr. Kenneth Williams
The purpose of this trip is to provide free medical care to the needy in Uganda. Within this trip we will be serving orphans and the vulnerable children, HIV/ AIDS victims, the poor who cannot afford the much needed medical care, and a local Pygmy tribe from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This outreach is dependent upon individuals from the following health care fields: Primary Care Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Students, Dentists, Technicians, Pharmacists, Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, OB/GYNs, etc. It is our prayers to provide high quality medical care as well as teach the local health practitioners current American health techniques and standards of health care. You will work in the Fort Portal Local hospitals and at a clinic run by Outreach To Africa.
There are many other humanitarian area to serve in outside of medical care.
Opportunities will include:
• Providing Christian education to the local school children
• Painting a house for an HIV infected widow
• Visiting a micro enterprise project for HIV victims
• Sharing/worshipping in local churches
• Visiting orphans
• Participating in sports outreaches (soccer, basket ball, volleyball and golf
You can use your profession, talents, gifts and passion to impact and empower lives.
If God is calling upon you to invest your life in the Kingdom of God for His glory, pray about being a part of this mission trip. The trip will change your heart and purpose of existence.
At the end of your hard working mission, you will go on a two day Safari in the Queen Elizabeth Game Park. This will be a time to relax, reflect and prepare for your way back home.
