Current Projects

Wheelchair Program
Uganda

Approximately 500,000 people in Uganda have movement disabilities. Of these, 200,000, are so severely affected that they require assistive devices to overcome their disabilities.

The major causes of movement disabilities include polio, cerebral palsy, birth injuries, meningitis, measles, leprosy and amputation due to land mine, gun shot wounds, road traffic accidents and infection of bones.

Outreach to Africa has partnered with Free Wheelchair Mission of Costa Mesa, CA to provide self-sustenance through mobility. We distribute containers, of 550 wheelchairs each, all over Uganda through government officials, churches, refugee camps, military barracks and individuals.
